11 January 2011, BUKIT JALIL - The year of 2011 has marked the 14th year running of MILO®’s support of the Le Tour de Langkawi. It is MILO’s hope that the Le Tour de Langkawi 2011 will inspire the development of cycling in Malaysia especially amongst our juniors.
The excitement will be experienced by all children and teenagers from all over Malaysia w...ith the MILO “Energy Truck” exclusive stops at all stages together with mini futsal, mini sports obstacle challenges, Milo Energy showcase, etc. All these sports activities will be fulled of fun and enjoyment for children, communicating a social interaction, learning new skills and experiences for future generation to appreciate a healthy lifestyle.
Similar as previous years, the MILO® cavalcade consisting of 1 gaily decorated vehicle will distribute MILO® goodies at selected locations along the route and at finishing points. The ever popular MILO® sampling van will continue to be one of the attraction providing free drinks to family members of Le Tour de Langkawi.
POWERBAR are also providing all teams with enough supply of Powerbar products. POWERBAR will be most welcomed by the cyclist as a good energy booster to last the pace of Le Tour de Langkawi. It is encouraged to note that this year’s event exciting field of world class and national teams from all over the world.
The Carnival Le Tour de Langkawi 2011 (Carnival LTdL 2011) will be empowered by MILO Energy Showcase at eight stages exclude the Stage 1 (Langkawi) and Stage 5 (Genting Highland) during the Tour as one of the marketing promotion during the Tour.
The 1st Carnival will be at Butterworth, Penang on 24 January (stage 2), followed by Sitiawan, 25 January (stage 3), Tanah Rata, Cameron Highlands, 26 January (stage 4), Putrajaya, 28 January (stage 6), Tampin, 29 January (stage 7), Jasin, 30 January (stage 8), Dataran Nilai, 31 January (stage 9), and ended at Dataran Merdeka (final stage).
We are expecting more than 1,000 crowds from 9.00am to 4.00 pm at all venues. This carnival will be colored by mini concert of LTdL, Milo Energy showcase, KL BMX Jam, LTDL JAM 2011 and sponsors exhibitions booth.
